About the source and this adaptation
In the Babylonian Talmud, Gittin 68b:14–19, Solomon removes Ashmedai’s chain and gives him a ring to see his strength. Ashmedai swallows the ring and throws Solomon far away. The sages of the Sanhedrin question Benayahu and people in the royal household and realize that someone else has taken the king’s place. In section 18 Ashmedai flees when Solomon enters again. Later, section 20 records different views about whether Solomon regained the throne. The wisdom line paraphrases the ring and the inquiries. The shared workshop and Jin and Ara’s conversation are modern fiction created with AI assistance.
